T.G. Wilson Cup – Saturday 12 October

Congratulations to Craig Ball and Eliza Bartlett, who claimed victory in the T.G. Wilson event last Saturday! The pair finished ahead of Luke Johnstone and Katherine da Silva, with Tony and Sue Newman taking third place. The competition, which featured 28 pairings, was played in the Canadian Foursomes format under perfect weather conditions.

Luke and Katherine also impressed with the best gross score of the day. After a great day on the course, players enjoyed a relaxing dinner at the clubhouse, rounding off a fantastic event. Well done to all participants!

We are excited to invite you to participate in the T.G. Wilson Cup, one of Royal Adelaide Golf Club’s most prestigious and long-standing events, taking place on Saturday 12 October.

This mixed Canadian Foursomes competition is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a day of competitive and fun golf, followed by a formal dinner and presentation.

The T.G. Wilson Cup has a rich history, dating back to its first play in 1928. The Cup was donated by Sir Thomas George Wilson, a renowned doctor specialising in obstetrics and gynaecology who made significant contributions to maternal care in South Australia. Known fondly as George or T.G., Sir Wilson served as Club Captain from 1931-1933 and as Club President from 1941-1950. The Cup has remained a Mixed Canadian Foursome event for the past 95 years, honouring Sir Wilson’s legacy and his long-standing dedication to the Club.
