Members regularly enjoy the privilege of inviting guests to enjoy the facilities at Royal Adelaide. Recently, there has been a disappointing drop in standards from some members when introducing guests to the Club. Most frequently member introduced guests arrive incorrectly attired and often well before the introducing member.
For our staff to provide a world class experience, and to enhance your guests’ visit to the Club, we remind members of the correct protocol when introducing guests.
- When making a golf booking, add your guest’s name and GOLF Link number.
- Ensure your guest is aware of the Club’s dress regulations and portable electronic devices policy (see notes below).
- Arrive at the Club before your guest to ensure you properly “introduce” them to the Club and staff. Whilst staff will inform your guest of the location of key facilities, this role is shared with the introducing member.
Having GOLF Link numbers pre-entered allows our staff to personalise and enhance your guest’s experience by greeting them by name, convenient entry into the competition (where applicable) and providing appropriate tee recommendations.
Please note that from Thursday 1st February, GOLF Link numbers will be required for all member introduced guest bookings. If your guest does not have a GOLF Link number, or you have any issues making a booking with a GOLF Link number, please contact the pro shop.
Dress Regulations and PED Policy
Please advise your guest of the Club’s dress regulations and policy regarding the use of portable electronic devices (including mobile phones) to prevent any embarrassment for you and your guest. These regulations apply to all guests, including those dining in the clubhouse.
We suggest you specifically mention the following of which visitors to the Club are often not aware:
- predominantly white socks must be worn with shorts, skirts, skorts and pants which are not full length
- socks must be visible above the shoe
- no cargo or drawstring pants or shorts are permitted
- hooded garments are not permitted
- men’s shirts must be tucked in at all times, including in the clubhouse
- phone calls must not be made or received at any time on the course or the practice facilities, and only in designated areas around the clubhouse and verandah
- the use of mobile phones (including to take photos or access the internet) is not permitted in the dining room
Please note that should your guest not comply with any of the Club’s policies or regulations, staff will in the first instance communicate this with you for you to action. By working together, we can ensure your guest has a great experience at Royal Adelaide.
