At the May Committee meeting, the Committee resolved to adopt changes to Club By-Laws as listed and detailed below. These changes were announced at the Annual General Meeting on Saturday 17th June.

BY-LAW 52 — RESTRICTIONS ON PLAYING TIMES
After thorough analysis of course usage from 12.00 noon to 2.00 pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, playing rights on Wednesdays and Thursdays have been changed so that the times which are reserved for Category 1 Members are from 11.30 am to 1.30 pm, rather than 11.30 am to 2.00 pm.
Changes to playing rights will be effective from Monday 3rd July and will be reflected on the booking sheets.
AMENDED BY-LAW EXTRACTS:
52.3.2 Category 2 Members may not commence play:
52.3.2.1 on Wednesday or Thursday between 11.30 am and 1.30 pm; or
52.3.4 Veteran Members:
52.3.4.1 Veteran Playing Members may not commence play on Wednesday or Thursday between 11.30am and 1.30pm.
52.4 Under 36 Members may not:
52.4.1 commence play play on Wednesday or Thursday between 11.30am and 1.30pm;
52.5 Junior Members may not:
52.5.1 commence play on Wednesday or Thursday between 11.30am and 1.30pm unless with a Member with playing rights;

BY-LAW 52.3.3.2.2 — RESTRICTIONS ON PLAYING TIMES — CATEGORY 3
To make the By-Laws consistent with the Terms of Competition for named events and championships to reduce confusion, By-Law 52.3.3.2.2 has been changed to allow Category 3 Members to play in all the events on Family Day, not just the Hayward Cup.
This change is effective immediately.

52.3.3.2. In addition to their playing rights set out above Category 3 Members may play in the following events at the Club:
52.3.3.2.2 the Hayward Cup, the Wendt Trophy and the Mother & Daughter Trophy (provided they meet all other requirements in the conditions of play);
BY-LAWS 47 AND 48 — HANDICAPS
To make the By-Laws consistent with the Terms of Competition for named events and championships to reduce confusion, By-Laws 47 and 48, pertaining to handicap requirements have been removed.
This change is effective immediately.
BY-LAW 56 — INTRODUCED MEMBERS-BY-THE-DAY
In response to COVID-19 restrictions, a policy was implemented to alter member guest access times. With restrictions having ceased, a thorough analysis of course usage was undertaken and member guest access times have been reassessed and changed.
Changes to member guest access times will be effective from Monday 3rd July and will be reflected on the booking sheets.
AMENDED BY-LAW EXTRACTS:
56. Unless approved otherwise by the General Manager, Members (other than Junior Members) may introduce up to three guests during times in which they have playing rights except as follows:

BY-LAW 45B — CONTROL OF COMPETITIONS AND MATCHES
By-Law 45B has been added to formalise a long-standing practice that players must play in the competition of the day before 12.30 pm on Tuesdays and before 1.00 pm on Saturdays.
This change is effective immediately.
BY-LAW ADDITION:
45B Any player commencing play before 12.30 pm on Tuesday or before 1.00 pm on Saturday must enter the named event (if eligible) or the ball competition being played on that day.
