NOMADS – Royal Adelaide v Blackwood, Thursday 5th October

The Royal Adelaide team of Sonia Ferrari (Team Manager), Sue Kent, Maureen Lavender, Robin Tregenza and Cathy Sanders  travelled to Blackwood for the second leg of the Nomads clash. Royal Adelaide held a 3-2 lead after the first leg at home however Blackwood put home advantage to full use.  Putting like demons to take the second leg 4.5-0.5 and win the match overall 6.5-3.5. Congratulations to Cathy Sanders who squared her match.

Well goodness gracious me, when the odes to brave warrior golfers are sung the deeds of the 2023 Blackwood v Royal Adelaide Nomads teams will be long remembered. The conditions were so atrocious Noah and his ark paddled by at one stage. Anyone who ventured out on the course today deserved a medal.

Royal Adelaide used home course to their advantage to take a 3-2 lead after the first leg of the two legged match with the return leg to be played in October at Blackwood.

Royal Adelaide leads Blackwood 3-2 after the 1st match. The trophy is won by the team with the cumulative total of wins after two matches. The second match will take place at Blackwood in October.
