Opening Day was held on Saturday 1 March and was a fantastic start to the season, with 120 entrants competing for the prestigious One of Many Trophy.
Congratulations to David Tamblyn and Hugh Hamilton, who claimed victory in this year’s event. Nick Rice and Laurie Madigan secured second place, while Phil Tubb and Eddie Bell finished third.
The One of Many Trophy, donated by Honorary Life Member John Crosby, is a limited edition Putter Royal by Swilken, St Andrews, cast from the propeller blade of the Queen Elizabeth II. First awarded in 2014, it remains a sought-after honour in the Club’s competition calendar.
Following the golf, members gathered for a club lunch, celebrating the day’s achievements.
Thank you to all who participated – we look forward to another great season ahead!
