LAUREL WREATH – 1st Round Tuesday 11th March

Timesheet for Tuesday 11^th March:
As in previous years the Laurel Wreath will be played in groups of 4, ie two matches per group. See information at the bottom of this email regarding playing the matches in groups of four. Your first round Laurel Wreath matches may be booked between 7.40am and 9.34am. See information below on bookings.

Booking Information:
Please contact your opponent to organise a mutually convenient time within the timeframe advised above.  One player will then need to organise the booking for the match. The booking sheet for the Laurel Wreath matches on Tuesday 11^th March will open Monday 3rd March at 3.00pm. Click here for bookings.

Match play:
The event is singles match play from the red tees, shots are given on the difference between the players Daily Handicap using the Match play index. Maximum Daily Handicap is 45 for this event. Comp Fee:
The $8 competition fee will be charged to your accounts.

Gold Laurel Wreath:
Players who don’t win their first round matches automatically qualify for the Gold Laurel Wreath.

The first round for the Laurel Wreath will be played on Tuesday 11th March and the Entry Sheet is open for bookings.

Please note the following information:

Entry Conditions:

• Players should not enter the competition if they are planning to be away, or are unlikely to be available to play for other reasons, for more than two consecutive weeks during the competition. Within the period to play each round of the match play stages of the competition, players should be available to play their match on at least three different dates and a range of times and days of the week at the times available for match play as set out in RAGC’s Match Play Booking Procedures and Times Policy.
  
  Match Play Competitions – Terms of Competition

Event Information:

• 1st Round will be played on Tuesday 11th March 2025.
• The entry sheet will close on Tuesday 25th February at 3.00pm and a draw will be provided online on Thursday 27th February. Please note you will need to contact your opponent to organise a mutually convenient time for Tuesday 11th  March.
• Bookings for the first round matches on Tuesday 11th March will open on Monday 3rd March at 3.00pm as for a normal timesheet.
  The Laurel Wreath timesheet will be set up in groups of 4 (2 matches per group) until approximately 9.45am (depending on amount of entrants) for Laurel Wreath matches only.
• Those who don’t win their first round match will automatically qualify for the Gold Laurel Wreath.  If you are unavailable for the first round of the Laurel Wreath you may enter the Gold Laurel Wreath. Please contact Paul directly in the office if you would like to enter the Gold Laurel Wreath.
• Matches to be played from Red Tees.
• Entry Fee – $8.00.

HISTORY:

A Golf SA Statewide event in one division only. It began in 1926 to encourage Matchplay and was available to registered Clubs, then extended to all Clubs and played for every year.

The first round non winners of the Laurel Wreath are automatically entered in the GOLD LAUREL WREATH, a RAGC event.
