The final of the T.S . Cheadle Foursomes was close run with Harry Coote and Billy Cawthorne reversing the result from qualifying to take out the T.S. Cheadle Foursomes Championship 2&1 over Matt Lawson and Michael Richardson.
Congratulations also to Tom and Richard Barnes on winning the Anniversary Trophy with 39 points and Matt Lawson and Michael Richardson on winning best qualifier with a 73 gross.
Semi Finals:
Everyone loves an early Sunday morning start after a Saturday night. Number one qualifiers Matt Lawson and Michael Richardson had a strong win in the first T.S. Cheadle Foursomes semi final over Rod Phillips and Greg Chappell 6&5. The second semi final was a tighter affair with Harry Coote and Billy Cawthorne shaking off a persistent Ian Rice and Tyron Davies 3&1 to set up a marquee match up in the final.
Qualifying:
The Men’s A Grade Foursomes Championships looks like it will be cracking affair. Michael Richardson and Matt Lawson combined well in tough conditions to be the number one qualifiers with a fantastic score of 73 in tough conditions, one shot clear of Harry Coote and Billy Cawthorne on 74. The young half of the draw is counterbalanced with the slightly less younger teams making up the finalists with Ian Rice and Tyron Davies running in 3rd position and Rod Phillips and Greg Chappell qualifying in 4th.
The Anniversary Trophy was won by Tom and Richard Barnes who were the only players in the field to better their handicaps with 39 points, three shots clear of a host of pairs, Peter Corones and Tony Smith, Michael Richardson and Matt Lawson and Murray Stone and Owen Watson all on 36 points.
The A Grade Semi finals will take commence on Sunday 18th August at 7.47am with the final to follow commencing at approximately 11.30am – midday. Presentations will take place at the conclusion of the final match.

Anniversary Trophy
Saturday 17th August
The Anniversary Trophy will be decided by Stableford over one round of 18 holes from any tees (with the gross scores from the qualifying round of the T.S. Cheadle Foursomes converted to Stableford scores). Only sides which play stroke play from the white tees are eligible for the T.S. Cheadle Foursomes. Sides which play from any other tees are ineligible for the T.S. Cheadle Foursomes. In the event of a tie, joint winners of the Anniversary Trophy will be declared.
Presentations of the Anniversary Trophy will take place with presentations of the Foursomes Championship Trophies on Sunday 18th August at the conclusion of the final match.
