GRANDMOTHER’S TROPHY – Congratulations Deb Weir

Once you’ve been trekking in the footsteps of the Incas in Peru, conquering the summit of Royal Adelaide then seems like a breeze. Congratulations to Deb Weir on her fantastic round of 42 points and on winning the 2023 Grandmother’s Trophy by 3 shots from Didy McLaurin.

Keen golfer.  Committee member.  Pennant player.  Bronze Champion 1969 & 72.
1978   Trophy Order first presented by Mrs J C McMichael.
1981   Cup was donated by Miss S R Fisher.
1992    Mrs McMichael passed away. Her twin daughters, Mrs P M Young and Mrs I R Sowton wish to continue with the trophy order in her memory.

History of the cup given by Miss Fisher:
This cup was won by Mr N R Fisher (father) and Miss S R Fisher in the S.A.G.A. mixed foursomes – 18 holes – (pre-war – probably about 1938).
