Congratulations to Junior member @raegandenton_golf on her invitation to the 2026 Augusta National Women`s Amateur.
The event will be held between 1 - 4 April as part of the lead-up to the 2026 Masters Tournament. Good luck Raegan!
Friday Flyover | Hole 2 at The Royal Adelaide Golf Club
The fairway bunker on the left sits 270 metres from the tee, ready to catch the unwary, while a striking greenside bunker guards the right just 30 metres short. Two smaller bunkers hug the left of the green, demanding precision on approach.
On this hole, it’s not just about distance — the direction and strength of the wind will decide whether a bold birdie four is on the cards.

Friday Flyover | Hole 1 at The Royal Adelaide Golf Club.
Our opening hole might be short, but it asks a few smart questions straight away. The fairway gently bends between soft mounds, with two bunkers on the right clearly in view from the tee. Let it rip if you like — just be sure to keep it in the short stuff, with long grass lining both sides and a sneaky strip of rough cutting across the fairway around the 280-metre mark.
The green sits on an angle to the line of play and is protected by a front-left bunker. And when the usual south-westerly is helping, even a short iron approach can be tougher than it looks to knock it in close.
Few things compare to sitting on the verandah on a summer afternoon, drink in hand, watching the final groups come home on the 18th green.
First completed in late 1905, our bungalow-style clubhouse has expanded over the years to support an ever-growing membership, while preserving the character and views that make it so special. More than a century on, the verandah remains the perfect place to unwind post-round with your playing partners.
What’s your go-to summer drink on the verandah at Royal Adelaide?
